La hija mayor del músico y actor Billy Bob Thornton fue acusada por homicidio en primer grado, abuso agravado de menores, y asesinato agravado de la muerte de una pequeña de un año en octubre de 2008.

Amanda Brumfield, de 28 años de edad se encuentra encarcelada en el condado de Orange Country desde hace dos semanas.

La autopsia reveló que la niña sufrió fracturas en el cráneo y heridas en el cerebro, por lo que los médicos concluyeron en que la muerte fue producto de un homicidio.

La policía añadió que los golpes que la mujer dicen haberse producido tras una caída son imposibles.

El publicista Thornton, ganador del premio Oscar a Mejor Guión Adaptado por la película Sling Blade, aseguró a los medios que padre e hija no mantienen relación actualmente.
