CAT 2018 Results are expected to be out on or after 07, January 2019. The candidates who appeared for the CAT exam on November 25, 2018, are expecting their percentile which will tell their IIM selection chances. IIM Calcutta has released CAT 2018 answer key (preliminary) mentioning correct options so that candidates can calculate their CAT scores approximately. Also, Shiksha provides CAT 2018 Percentile Predictor which can be used with candidates’ expected scores to calculate their chances of IIM admissions. However, the actual CAT 2018 scores and percentiles will be revealed on the result day only.
CAT 2018 result will be detailed scorecard mentioning the scores obtained by candidates in each section i.e. Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Ability.

CAT 2018 Result through SMS:
CAT result will also be received as a text on a registered mobile number of candidates. The SMS will mention overall CAT 2018 scores and percentile. This will be an indication of CAT 2018 result and not detailed scores. To check detailed CAT result, the candidate needs to login with CAT User Id and Password on result window at iimcat.ac.in.

CAT 2018 result will mention details about test taker and result as mentioned below –

What after CAT Result?
After CAT 2018 result announcement, each IIM will be releasing the list of candidates shortlisted for GD/WAT and PI rounds.
Based on CAT 2018 percentile, candidates will be called for GD, WAT and PI for final selection by IIMs and B- Schools accepting CAT 2018 scores
The final selection will be based on CAT scores, GD/WAT/PI scores, Work Experience beside overall academic performance
IIMs mentioned their admission policy for selection including sectional percentile, overall percentile, weightage for academic performance, work experience, PI-WAT, GD and other factors for shortlisting candidates.
Similarly, each B-School will release its own selection criteria mentioning cut-off marks and other factors for final admission.
