There are very few marketing tools that are as effective as a roller banner – in fact, it’s safe to say that when it comes to effectiveness, no marketing tool gives you a better return on investment than the pop up banner. Of course, it needs to be designed well, placed in the right location, and used to its full potential.
The brand and the design
The company logo and your brand are very important, especially if people are already familiar with your brand or logo. For this reason, it’s imperative that you stay consistent and always use the same colours, fonts, and design when it comes to your logo. Never change that. Proclaim the familiar brand at the top, and be proud of it.
Content is everything
Content does not mean you have to scribble down everything you have to say on your banner – on the contrary, the art and science of making a banner effective lies in the ability to say more with less. However, the content is really the central thing. Use as few words as possible, but make sure the message is clear. Use imagery to highlight who you are or what you have to offer. Be clear – make sure the content of your banner is clear and cannot be misunderstood.
Be careful with the location
You want to make sure you place your roll up banners where a lot of people are going to pass by, but you also want to make sure it’s at a proper location. Don’t place it near a rubbish bin if you are advertising a restaurant, for example, and make sure the view from the people to your banner is not obstructed by other items such as parked cars or competition.
The banner is without a doubt the best way to advertise your product or service, simply because the banner is a durable product that is seen by a multitude of people at any given time (and if there a thousand people there, you’ll probably need only a small percentage to take notice and give your company a shot). Of course, nothing beats the design – so make sure that the roller banner’s design is done well and professionally; you want to give a professional impression, after all. Be bold, and be proud, and display those roller banners wherever and whenever you can.
