Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Sponsors Blood Drive Day

The global blood drive day is an annually held day for blood drive awareness. This year the global blood drive day is observed on June 14th, 2018. The global blood drive day was started to encourage people to donate blood and to educate people about blood donations. It’s also in place to thank people who are already blood donors for regularly donating their blood or donating during times of shortages. Blood drives are important for collecting enough blood to be used for any emergency situations and for mass crisis situations. Blood donations assist with saving millions of lives for various reasons every year.

In observance of global blood drive day earlier in the month, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy and his organization NGO Trauma Care International are sponsoring blood drives at Christ Embassy churches around the world on June 30th this year. These mass planned blood drives at Christ Embassy churches are planned to educate people on the importance of donating blood at blood drives regularly throughout the year to keep a regular supply of blood available parts of the world. The blood drives will also greatly increase an initial amount of blood for blood transfusions.

The Trauma Care International organization was started by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome with the goal of increasing knowledge for the need to donate blood to blood drives. The goal is to educate people on how to donate blood and why they should. The Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has done other health related initiatives aside from his work with the Trauma Care International organization. He has donated health equipment to countries in Africa where the supplies is much needed. The Christ Embassy churches and the Pastor Chris Oyakhilome have put great effort into various humanitarian causes such as this. Bringing more attention to the humanitarian need for blood donations is a move by the Christ Embassy churches to improve the quality of life of those in communities without enough blood collected in their blood banks.

The Trauma Care International initiative claims on their website that they were created with the goal of helping to improve the health and care of the sickly and injured. The initiative operatives also state that they help to get emergency services to places that need it during times of crisis. The emergency services are covered by the Trauma Care International foundation. The foundation provides the emergency services for free to those who would otherwise be unable to afford the health care that they need. The Trauma Care International foundation also lists that they fund training to law enforcement, teachers, and students about the importance of emergency care as another part of their missions.
