The Tab S line is most recent, launched last year. It includes two members Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and Galaxy Tab S 8.4. Out of which Tab S is bigger sized tablet as it names suggest and internal configuration of both the tabs is similar. And the verdict tablet is Tab S 10.5 because of its lightweight and dimensions.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5: The Perfect Android Tablet

In the tablet Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has a removable battery capacity of 7900 mAh. While reading (30% brightness mode) tablet is discharged in 12 hours 18 minutes. In Playback mode, HD-video devices have enough charge 11 hours 3 minutes (maximum brightness mode). With daily use, you can count on 4-5 days of battery life, depending on usage. By the time playback of HD-video is one of the best tablet that makes it very interesting offer for fans to watch movies on long trips. Separately, we note that in this tablet, as in the Galaxy S5, there is a mode of emergency energy saving, where the screen switches to black and white mode and is available only the most basic functions.

The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has the main 8 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash. Resolution of front camera is 2.1 MP. With this tablet you can easily remove the text or make a couple of pictures of scenery, but it is important to understand that this is not the top-end camera, and not even the top-end smartphone with a cool camera, so expect miracles from this camera is not necessary.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has the capability to support Mobile network – version with 3G-module works over cellular networks 2G (GSM / GPRS / EDGE, 850/900/1800/1900 MHz), 3G (900/2100 MHz) and 4G (2600 MHz). In addition to data transfer, you can also make calls from the tablet. Support 4G is even in models with Exynos Octa 5420, apparently using an external modem. Wi-Fi (b / G / n) – the settings you can enable the “distribution” of mobile Internet via Wi-Fi, as well as take advantage of the transfer of files via Wi-Fi Direct. Of the nice features is support for dual-band Wi-Fi. In this tab, Bluetooth 4.0 – supports all popular profiles including A2DP. GPS – Cold start takes less than 10 seconds to claim the module is not present. Infrared – to use the tablet as a remote for the technology, the device is already pre-installed software to work with an infrared port.

It is worth mentioning that in this tablet, like in Galaxy S5, installed a fingerprint scanner. To unlock the screen by fingerprint you need to swipe your finger on the edge of the screen on the scanner from the top down. This function does not work as well as in the iPhone 5s, sometimes the unit responded to mark only the second and third times.

No doubt, Samsung needs refinement in the fingerprint scanner. And the upcoming series of Samsung Galaxy Tab 5 could also get the fingerprint scanner.
