Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Test is going to be conducted by VIT University from 5^th April, 2017 to 16^th April, 2017 for the purpose of admission to various under graduate engineering programs which are offered in two campuses which are Chennai and Vellore. About 2,00,000 students appear in this entrance exam for getting admission in 5,000 seats. Candidates can get application form in online as well as offline modes from 9^th November, 2016.

Important Dates-

• Registration of application forms started from 9^th November, 2016

• Last date for the registrations in on 28^th February, 2017

• Last date to edit the form is in the month of February, 2017

• Admit can be downloaded in the third week of March, 2017

• Exam will be conducted from 5^th April, 2017 to 16^th April, 2017

• Result will be declared on or before 24^th April, 2017

Eligibility Criteria-

To be eligible to apply for the entrance exam, the candidate should fulfill the following criteria’s-

• The candidate is required to be resident or non-resident of India

• Candidate should be born on or after 1^st July, 1995 to be eligible to apply for the entrance exam

• Candidates are required to pass class 12^th with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematic/ Biology as mandatory subjects.

• Candidates belonging to SC/ST category or belong to North Eastern State are required to score a minimum of 50% marks in 12^th class from a recognized board.

• Candidate should have done 12^th class in regular and full time education system

• NIOS candidates can also apply for the entrance exam

How to Apply for the Application Form?

The application form for the entrance exam is obtained online as well as offline from November, 2016 and onwards. Candidates are required to update all the required information with the authentic mobile number and e-mail. Offline applications can be obtained from the selected head post offices. Candidates can pay the fee of application forms with the help of credit card or debit card or net banking or demand draft.

Application Form Status-

Candidate can check out the status of their application form on the official website of the entrance exam. The candidate can check the status of the application form with the help of 10 digit application number and verification code

Exam Cities-

The entrance exam will be conducted in 118 cities across the country. Candidates are required to choose the exam centre as per their convenience.

Admit card-

Admit card will be made available online on the official website for the entrance exam and a copy of the admit card will be sent to candidate’s registered e-mail id

Exam Pattern-

A total of 125 questions will be asked in entrance exam

Questions will be multiple choice questions

There is no negative marking done in the entrance exam

Candidates will get the entrance exam in English language only

Result-

Result of the VITEEE 2017 entrance exam will be declared online on the official website of entrance exam on April 24, 2017.
