What Makes The Golden Triangle Tour A Must

Short and sweet

Given the fact that Delhi, Agra and Jaipur are in close vicinity , you won’t have to spend much time travelling. Instead you can use that time to visit the remotest of places in the aforementioned cities. Usually, a four nights and five days stay would be ideal.

When to visit

Like the rest of North India, weather in these three cities is on the extreme side as well. It’s brutally hot in summers and the winters are as severe. Therefore, a preferable time to plan the tour would be from August to October and February to April. However, if you wish to experience the extremes of temperature, it’d be better if you visit during the winters rather than the summers.

Places to visit

Delhi – India Gate, Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Chandni Chowk, Jama Masjid

India Gate was built to honour the Indian soldiers who gave up on their lives fighting in the first World War. There are vast lawns with fountains and trees surrounding the monument and is one of the most preferred places for a picnic with family.

The huustle and bustle of Chandni Chowk’s streets is world famous and the cuisines are to die for.

Taking the Yamuna Expressway, you can then reach Agra within three hours.

Agra – Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri

Taj Mahal, as we all know, is one of the seven wonders of the world and is one of the most visited monuments in the world. It was built by Shah Jahan in 1648. Agra Fort, just 2.5 kms away from the Taj, is a walled palace, famous for its sandstone and white marble work. Fatehpur Sikri is one also one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites and was built by Emperor Akbar.

Jaipur – Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jal Mahal

Sitting on top of a hill, Amber Fort is another UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are Light and Sound Shows held in the evenings and are a major attraction.
